Welcome to our 2 minute story page.
Now you might ask what does a 2 minute story have to do with my network marketing business? Simple, as you talk with people you need to get their attention to find out if they have any interest in your business. My mentors have found many studies that have proven that before you can talk about your business you need to have your personal 2 minute story told. Only then can you move to talking about and growing your business. the following are some 2 minute stories that help us move forward. Please share your 2 minute story with me and I will post it here. This is for the serious network marketer.
We will post them here for all to enjoy. It's a good excercise for all. When you can tell YOUR story, you can tell ANY story. Read your story out loud to make sure it takes less than two minutes. If it takes four minutes and you can't leave anything out, that's okay, too! Once you have people's attention, don't leave them hanging. Unless you are in advertising!
Now that you can easily tell your personal story in two minutes, take Tom Big Al's story and make it YOURS. Then commit to telling it at least once a day, and as Tom says, "Work with the willing. Take the volunteers." Have fun!

Kicking Addiction - Randy Fried - April 5 2010
I am child of the 70's, grew up in 3 places, St. Louis Park with a pool in the back yard, at the age of 2 we moved out to a suburb onto a 10 acre horse farm and when I was 9 we moved out further to a lake home on a large beautiful lake.
Life was different then, my father had a day job as an office manager and he was a professional musician and my mother owned her own business.
Seeing this I assumed that I could make the same thing happen for myself. I found something I was passionate about and set myself to doing it with all my being, but knew it would take 2 people working together to make the life I wanted and wanted to share with another.
Times change and my disease of addiction ruled my life. 13 years of addiction made a mess of my thinking. Once I finally cleared my my mind after arresting my addiction (18 yr's this August) I assumed that I would be able to carry on my plan for living my life the way I wanted.
A few relationships later and the loss of or the lack of money I realized that being a chef was not going to get me to where I wanted to be. So I took a job as a store manager with a nationwide c-store, 1600 stores and mine was in the top five, and I still could not get my bonus, sound familiar? I lost my job because of an allegation by one of my employees who I helped out by giving them a job and helping them as much as I could. No job but the state of Minnesota thought I deserved UI benefits. I love the pc and meeting new people so I thought this will be the way to live the life I want.
Started with a famous company, failed, and then was introduced to a system that understood ME and my dreams, Mentoring for Free. Thankfully as I listened, I learned why I failed and what it would take to live my life.
An amazing team with wonderful support - that is one of the keys and the team gave me the rest!

Own Your Life - Shelly Bishop - April 15 2010
I have had a good life. I grew up in a family of 6 kids. We were poor, but we didn’t know it. We had everything we needed. My father was an alcoholic, so he made life tough for us kids and my mom at times. They divorced when I was about 11. After we got over the initial hurt and pain, we survived well. My mom was the best. She took care of us and provided for us.
I have always wanted to provide a better life for my kids than I had. My husband and I have a good life. We have been together 27 years now. We have 4 beautiful daughters, a nice house that is paid for, several vehicles, a large farm and lots of toys such as four wheelers, tractors, horse, etc. Our professional business has been fairly successful from a worldly point of view. But, we have not “Owned our Life”. We have been in bondage to our business and job all these years. We have not controlled it. It has controlled us. It has consumed countless hours and efforts that can never be replaced.
I don’t want to be in bondage to the system any more. I want the freedom and independence that wealth brings and gives. I want to own my life and teach my kids to do the same. I don’t have any lack of persistence. The only way I can fail is to quit and that is not an option for me.
Now, the economic crisis has taken a toll on our business. Our business is directly related to the housing index, so if nobody is buying homes, we have no work to do. So, it has been very stressful, we have lost all our savings and retirement. We have downsized to nearly nothing. But the strange thing is that through it all, I am ok with it. Yes, I am stressed out at times and I must admit that I have shed a few tears and had a few sleepless nights. But, I now know that I will one day be free and “own my life.” So I carry on. Just when I think that I can’t do it anymore or I’m too tired, my desire and my persistence kicks in and I get busy and do what needs to be done on my home business.
My desire is to help others in more ways than one. To help them become the person that God intended to be. To help them own their lives. To help them enjoy their families and get to really know their kids and spouse. To help them build an income from home so they can be free to do the things they desire. To help them with their health problems, so they can enjoy their lives. To help them spiritually, so they can have eternal life.
The Bible tells us in 3 John 2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” This is my burning desire. I wish this same prayer for myself and my family and for everyone else who so desires this. And this desire is so intense within me at times, that I want to bang my head against the wall and shout it from the roof tops.
Each day I am persistent. I am learning to be more organized and manage my time more efficiently since my time is so limited. I am learning how to work smarter and wiser than the average person. I will “Own My Life” and along the way, I will help many others to do the same.
This venture has given me a glimpse of what life should be and can be. It has taught me skills that have helped me with my business and my personal life. I have learned how to enjoy life and how to place my priorities in the right order. I am so grateful that I have been given this great opportunity in my life. I intend to carry it out to the end.
